Lodging

The Base de plein air Bon départ, ranked 4-star by the CITQ (Corporation de l’industrie touristique du Québec), offers several accommodation buildings, lounges and multipurpose rooms depending on the number of people and the needs.

The camp is a smoke-free environment. Limited internet access is available in many of our pavilions. No pets are accepted on the site.

We also offer rustic accommodation including a large and a small yurt and camping platforms. Ask about availability and terms.

village récréatif

The Village récréatif consists of 2 spacious pavilions mainly used for large groups and can accommodate up to 174 people. They include bathrooms, a 160-seat dining room, lounges, a large recreation room and a first aid room. All building levels have wheelchair accessible access. The site is surrounded by forest and includes many lawns, fire, parking and bus landing areas. Depending on the package, pavilion 1 and 2 can be rented for smaller groups using only one of the wings of the accommodation buildings.

Pavilion 1

  • Capacity: 72 places (8 rooms with 4 beds, 4 rooms with 6 beds and 2 rooms with 8 beds)
  • 2 lounges including TV, DVD, radio, mini-fridge and coffee maker
  • Bathrooms and showers
  • Ability to add 16 beds by transforming the two lounges
  • 1 cafeteria with seating for 160 on the lower floor of the pavilion, with access for guests with disabilities

Village récréatif

Pavilion 2

  • Capacity: 70 beds (4 rooms with 4 beds, 9 rooms with 6 beds and an infirmary with 2 hospital beds)
  • 2 lounges including TV, DVD, radio, mini-fridge, coffee maker and wood burning fireplace
  • 1 large multifunctional recreation room that can be set up for receptions or conferences
  • A first-aid room with washbasin, beds, outdoor access and full private bathroom
  • Ability to add 16 beds by transforming the two lounges

Auberge

The Inn is mainly used to accommodate smaller groups. It is ideal for autonomous groups whose participants have a physical or intellectual disability and for nature classes whose students have special needs.

The rooms, bathrooms, cafeteria and infirmary are located on the same level, which is suitable for people with reduced mobility.

The living room offers great versatility. Equipped with couches, tables, audiovisual equipment and a fireplace, it can be arranged for group discussions, relaxation time or indoor activities.

  • Capacity:
    • 47 beds (28 singles, 6 bunk beds and 5 hospital beds)
    • 14 rooms (11 rooms with 3 beds, 1 room with 4 beds and 2 rooms with 5 beds)
  • Cafeteria service with 60 seats
  • Central common room with slow burning wood fireplace
  • Infirmary
  • Outdoor ramp under a forest cover connecting the Auberge to the beach, accessible to wheelchair users
  • Large grass areas with fire pit
  • Access to swings, sun shelters, picnic table, archery, horseshoe pitching courts and pétanque

Chalets-Camping

Located at the entrance of the site, Chalets-Camping are open from spring to autumn. They are designed for groups who want to enjoy the outdoors in a rustic environment. Chalets-Camping can be booked as a package with or without a cafeteria service.

The five small chalets, the summer kitchen with its covered picnic area and the sanitary station are arranged in a circle around a fire pit. Surrounded by forest, the site offers campers privacy while being easily accessible.

 
  • Capacity: 40 places
  • 5 cottages (4 cottage dorms of 8 spaces each and 1 2-bedroom cottage with 2 bunk beds in each one as well as an indoor room)
  • Sanitary stations with toilets, showers and washbasins, separated by gender
  • Summer kitchen including a picnic area with mosquito net
  • Availability: May to September

Rustic accommodation

Available year round, the yurts are equipped with a wood fireplace. A dry toilet is accessible a few steps away.

Yurts are ideal for groups of less than 12 people who want a more rustic accommodation.

  • Capacity yurt 1: 12 spaces in floor mattress or 8 spaces in camp bed
  • Capacity yurt 2: 10 spaces in floor mattress or 8 spaces in camp bed
